Purpose: I was asked to create a graffiti inspired BLM shirt design to show the University of Pittsburgh’s support for the movement.
Techniques: This shirt was created entirely in Illustrator. The text and fist were both hand-drawn using the pen tool.
Design Decisions: My client asked that this logo represent the messiness of the movement. To do this, I added a splatter behind the text. I used the university colors throughout the design to represent the support from students, staff, and alumni.
Outcome: This shirt sold out in the first few days on the floor. It is now a staple item at university owned stores.
