Purpose: The Founders of Panther Edge, an organization working to help young adults afford education. This organization began its endeavors in my home town creating a college fund for High School Graduates. Quickly, the organization expanded, helping kids in schools throughout in Laos, Vietnam, and Hawaii. I was asked to create a logo for them that represented global education and cutting edge ideas.
As they quickly began to grow, they needed more formal assets including a letterhead design and a way to show their growth. I chose to represent these numbers through an info graphic, which is informative, fun to look at, and can be updated easily year to year.
Techniques: This logo design was done entirely on Illustrator. The info graphic and letterhead were created on InDesign.
Design Decisions: I chose to use a soft olive green and turquoise to symbolize growth. The globe figure ties into the pencil shape showing that successful education may start in the kids community, but it’ll challenge students to think about how their actions can go further and help better more people.
Outcome: This logo will be used on their newsletter and website to better market who they are and all the good they are doing for the education system.
