Purpose: I was asked to create a new Pitt Arrival logo to replace the old Arrival Survival branding and logo. The committee requested that I use the University cathedral within the logo as well as Pitt branded blue or yellow.
Techniques: This logo was done entirely on Illustrator using the pen tool.
Design Decisions: I referenced several images of the cathedral before deciding on an angle. Because the cathedral had been used in many graphics around campus, I wanted to create a version of the cathedral that isn’t often seen or used. The hexagon surrounding the cathedral is used to symbolize community.
Outcome: This logo is now used for all Pitt Arrival branding: signs, social media, shirts, and more.
